Headline: Attractive yearling filly by promising young stallion Due Diligence, out of a winner-producing Night Shift mare
A very attractive, eye-catching bay yearling filly by Due Diligence is offered for sale. This March-foaled youngster is well-handled and easy to deal with in every way.
She is out of the Night Shift mare Night Premiere, who was a speedy individual on the track and placed over sprint trips on numerous occasions. Since having her attentions switched to breeding Night Premiere has produced a handful of runners, including the six-furlong winner Major Assault.
Night Premiere hails from a very smart family and is a sibling of the Grp-3 placed two-year-old Zumbi and the Listed-placed Say No Now. They are in turn out of an unraced full-sister to the Grp-2 Flying Childers Stakes heroine Land Of Dreams, who later found fame as the dam of the five-time Grp-1 winner and Joint European Champion Two-Year-Old (with Frankel, no less) Dream Ahead.
The near family includes a multitude of other star performers, including the Grp-1 winners No Nay Never and Fairyland.
The covering sire Due Diligence is another notable addition to the page. A Listed-winning and Grp-1 placed sprinter for Aidan O’Brien, he is a son of the increasingly influential sire of sires War Front and was represented by his first crop in 2019.
Despite having retired to stud without too much fanfare and at a relatively modest opening covering fee of £6,500, Due Diligence’s first-crop featured the Grp-3 winners Good Vibes and Streamline (a £13,000 graduate from the breeze-ups) and the Listed winner and Grp-2 placed Sir Boris. Such striking results have led to an increased level of interest in the sire’s stock and it is an exciting time to be investing in his offspring.
This filly is blessed with exceptional good looks and a very appealing pedigree. She has a tough character and lots of presence about her, and she looks just the type to develop into a precocious two-year-old and an early runner in 2021.
